Q: FCPX and .wmv compatability?

Welp.

The title pretty much sums it up.

I have some video files that I need to use in FCPX. Im using my mac mini, which isnt very powerful so I dont dare to launch FCPX. But I wont have access to my iMac until after the video shoot that I need these videos for.

I found a free converter software...but do I need it? response soon would be greatly appreceated..

Are there any more out there that are free? The files need to be at 720p (they are originally 720p, and will be added to film shot with Canon T3i at 1080p they are the same Frames Per Second)
