My iMessage refuses to deliver messages to a single contact can but I can FaceTime them still (they also can not send messages to me)

Are you Messaging them with the correct email address?
If they Message you can you successfully reply? If so that means you have the incorrect email address in your Contacts app.
No it is the correct email
It's my boyfriend and it stopped working overnight I can call him through the iMessage app but I can't message him and he can't message me it will say delivered but them will say unable to deliver seconds later and I can't get or send messages

Yes my messages to other deliver successfully it's just the one email will not deliver or retrieve messages
Try go to Settings>Messages>Send and Receive and sign out and sign back in
I've tried this several times but nothing has changed

I am running out of ideas.
I am too yes I can get others messages it just started doing this to me this morning i will probably just give it overnight to fix itself and if not contact someone to fix it professionally because nothing seems to work I've even reset all my settings therefore losing all of my things that were not backed up
