Q: Strange screen shadow appears on iPhone 5c iOS 7.0.4

Hi guys,

I've encountered this problem on my iphone 5c where a shadowy pink colored hue appeared on my screen when i browsing through an apps or whenever i'm using it. Its an intermittent problem that after a while it disappear, then it will appearing again. The hue shadowing about 3/4 of the iPhone screen. I am not sure whether its a software or hardware problem. I purchased the iphone about 10 days ago. The ios version is the current 7.0.4. Any clue anyone?

Apparently this problem has been plague many iPhone 5 users as well. The pink tint appreared some time after iOS7.0.4, so I hope this is a software-related issue and can be fixed with the next update. Now that I'm conscious of the pink layer, it becomes pretty annoying. It clearly distort the color of white images, for example. Hope Apple can fix this soon.

There have been no iPhone screen problems posted on these forum that can be directly attributable to the iOS 7.0.4 update. First thing to try is to reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem.

If that doesn't help Make an appointment at an Apple Store to have your device examined by a technician. Or contact Apple Support.

Thanks ivan and Ralph for sharing,

Its been a week or so that the problem not persist anymore. I really do think its a software issue in ios 7 and optimistic that Apple Inc will fix this in the upcoming ios 7.1 update.

    Cheers

There's no Apple Store in Indonesia (only resellers), and it took ages for the distributor to fix/replace any problematic iPhone (even in warranty period), so, YES, I hope this is only a software glitch.
