haven't tried this, but there are setting for "subtitle appearance" if you go to account settings on netflix website.. you can set the font and one of the options is "Small Caps" which is all upcase with capital letters appearing larger.. worth a try.
I would still say it's worth a try... could force AppleTV to set this properly... there is no setting for this on AppleTV as far as I know... also, have you tried several movies to make sure it's not just an issue with this one movie?
Caps lock on what/where comes on?
When I watch for example a tv show on Netflix With my Apple tv, the subtitles are in caps lock
It's only on my Apple tv so it must be the setting for the Apple tv, If I use other devices it works normally
