Where are iBooks content stored?

The full path is:


~/Library/Containers/com.apple.BKAgentService/Data/Documents/iBooks/Books


To go directly there you can copy the above path and paste it here:

In Finder > Go > Go to folder (SHIFT-COMMAND-G)

That depends on your settings. If you buy it on your iPad then it won't download to your Mac unless you have Download New Purchases check in the iBook preferences.


I would not reccomend moving them. Your purchases will be available for redownload whenever you want so you can just delete them from iBooks. The book will stilll be listed in the Purchased category in iBooks but with a cloud on the top right corner.
