Q: after unlocking how long to activate

I bought a iphone5 currenlty lock to EE. The guy in shop said its unlocked but it takes 48hours to activate. Something does not sound right to me. Anyone got any ideas.

iPhone 5, iOS 7.0.3

    For what reason did you purchase it if "something did not sound right" to you?

     

    Only the carrier to whom the device is locked can authorize it's unlocking.

    Regardless of lock status, there is no delay in activation.

     

    The vast majority of users that have issues with activation have either hacked or jailbroken their devices to unlock them.  No support can be provided here for such issues.

     

    Return the device (if you can) for a full refund and purchase a device from an authorized reseller.

    Chances are it is stolen and will have activation lock on which makes it a brick

    and forget the " itsbeen unlocked " follow diesel's advice get your money back

    EFE take at least 30 days to process a genuine unlock request
