Q: airport cascade
Hi,
I have to airports at home One Airport Extreme (ABase) (in use today) and One Airport Express (AE) (not connected yet) , with the idea to extend my wifi coverage
This is what I'm thinking to do.
1.) ABase coonect to cable modem with SSID : Apple and password
2.) Connect ABase Ethernet to wan in the AE
3.) Configure the AE with the same SSID : Apple and same password
4.) If we need connect a laptop to the Ethernet in the AE port. This only will happened to obtain more performance.
What I express above has sense and is possible ?
How I must configure the ABase and AE to work as one network ?

Sounds like you are creating a "Roaming" network which should work just fine.
See this Apple article on how to setup a Roaming network.

Give it a try and let us know.
If it doesn't work, tell us what generation of Extreme and Express you have.
