Q: Can you gift someone an iTunes song even if they don't have an apple account or iTunes?

Hi I'm trying to gift someone a song on iTunes but I'm not sure if they have an iTunes account. Can they still get the song even if they don't have an iTunes account and I gift them the song?

No, iTunes content (most of it anyway) is DRM locked to iTunes. They would need to have iTunes installed to download and listen to the song.
