Q: Network Access Points

I'm having ongoing (on & off) problems with my wireless network. It every so often it comes to a halt. My wireless network is behind an ATT 2wire 3800HGV-B residential gateway. I have turned off the wireless unit on the 2wire. The home is large. I have situated 3 Airport extremes throughout the home. Each AE is hard wired to the 3800HGV (there are swtiched between the AE's and the 3800HGV. The Lan is pluged into the WAN ports on each AE (I have tried plugging the LAN into LAN ports on the AE as suggested in other threads but I have the same problems confitured either way.) I have each AE set up in Bridge Mode and the Wireless to Create A Wireless Network. I have named each wireless network the same name on each AE hoping that our wireless devices will jump to the strongest signal as we move through the house. Even though the AE's are set up in Bridge Mode the 3800HGV will still warn me that it has determined there are routers behind the 3800HGV and advises me to create DMZ zone for the router. This is not an opiton for 2 reasons. The 3800HGV only allows 1 DMZ zone and it is currently used by my alarm system and secondly. There are 3 airports  and I can't think of how I would put them one DMZ zone.

Under the above configuration, when the wireless comes to a stand still I have determined that it is fixed if I unplug 2 of the 3 AE's. This leads me to beleive they are interfering with each other.

Suggestions appreciated!

    Update:

I don't seem to have this problem when I turn off 2 of the AE's. In addition I have tested running all 3 AE's but creating 3 different network names. So far no problem (several hours.) This leads me to believe AE dosen't support roaming or I am configuring wrong for Roaming to work.

    Help appreciated.

The settings are right. According to this http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4260 they are wired wrong. I currently have each airport hard wired from the RG LAN ports to the WAN ports of the AEs. It seems for roaming to work you have to have one master AE hard wired from the RG to the WAN port and then connect the other AE WAN ports to the LAN ports of the Master AE. This is a wiring nightmare. Ugh

So I discovered that the problem was the way they were hardwired. Each AP needs to be directly connected to each other. See Link in post above.
