Backing up to Time Capsule

Hi, I am trying to back up my mac onto the time capsule, but it keeps failing. The error message that comes up says there is a volume issue. What can I do about this?

Are you running what is in your profile.. Snow Leopard?

How is the TC connected to the computer?

Is the computer on internet via the TC?

If you manually mount the TC disk in finder .. a. is it possible.. b. once mounted can TM then find the volume??

Have you done a simple reboot of the TC? We are finding the computer often can have internet but has forgotten where the TC disk is located.

Have you check Pondini.. section C.

C16, C17 maybe.

Hi,

Thanks so much for your help! I'm not running Snow Leopard. I wanted to back up before upgrading to Snow Leopard. I'll try going through finder - haven't done that yet and will let you know how that goes.

Thank you for refering me to Pondini. I think C14 is my issue as that is the error message I am seeing.

Fingers crossed! I'll let you know how it goes.
