i sold my previous i phone, forgot to restore to factory settings and am now getting contacts

I sold my previous phone (i phone 4) and forgot to restore to factory settings. Im now getting contacts and photos belonging to the new owner on my new phone ( i phone 5C) How can I remove and stop it happening?

Sounds like the new owner is using your iCloud account to add contacts? Log onto iCloud.com, and wipe the device (would probably be a good idea to let the new owner know you are going to do this)....
