How do I retrieve lost bookmarks on Safari?

I have been saving a bunch of songs under a guitar folder in my bookmarks in Safari. I just went to add another song to the folder and all of my bookmarks disappeared! My favorites are still there but my bookmarks are no where to be found. I am using a 2013 MacBook Air... does anyone know how to help me?
