Q: are my i phone photos stored in i cloud. I cant find them? saw everything else

I went to upgrade to a 5S and was asked to go home and check i cloud to make sure my photos were stored on i cloud .com i went home and found all other data but no photos ( even though they were checked in my settings) Any thoughts on this. What else do I need to do to back up my photos in icloud?

iPhone 4S, iOS 7

Welcome to the Apple community.

There are no photos at iCloud.com.

You back up your camera roll by backing up the phone (either through iCloud or iTunes).
