Q: Trouble seeing photo's in Aperture trash
I have 240 photos in my Aperture trash. I doble click on trash to view photos but nothing shows up. I have looked and i am not filtering them. Any thoughts on this problem?

Wen you hover the mouse over the Trash icon does it report that there are 240 versions contained in it?
HAve you tried runnig a Library repair on the Library? Hold the command and option keys down while starting Aperture, choose Repair Library from the First Aid window.
