Updating to FCPx .1 with Hidden Folders Trouble

Hey Everybody-

Back on .09 I followed the instructions per this article on Apple's Website to hide certain projects and events that way they didn't who up in Final Cut and take up space: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4740 Basically to create new folders of "Final Cut Events - HIDDEN" and so forth.

When my FCPX opened for the first time after Christmas I was in the middle of something else, and don't know why I clicked "update all" regarding my projects and events without doing research first. DOINK! But, this is Apple, everhthing's just supposed to work... right?

Ok. All my projects and events have been updated (that FCPX knew were there..... HENCE FCPX did not update the projects and events in their respected "hidden" folders because it didn't know to look there.)

Now, when I go to update projects and events from the file menu and select ...locate... I should think that it would be possible to simply find the "hidden" folder, select all of the folders within and badabing bodaboom it would just update, but nope. FCPx just says it couldn't find andy projects or events to update.

Weird. Because I have about 10 Projects and 6 events that need updating, but I just have no idea.

I watched all of the new training videos on ripple training's website. Those were very informative and even talk about doing something very similar to what I just mentioned, but it doesn't work for me.

I must be doing something odd. I have no idea.

Thanks in advance,

No. You have to move the projects and events out of the hidden folders to the correct location, and then use 10.1 to update and point to the drive that loads the projects and events. You do select anything inside, only the drive or the Movies folder if that's where they are. You don't select anything else, the drive or Movie.
