What is the purpose of iCloud, who has control over it and why are you forcing me to use it? Is it my information or yours???

Nobody is forcing you to use anything. Also, you aren't addressing Apple here. This is a user to user forum.

Answer this question. How are you suppose to sync your iPhone 5S with your Mac I contacts without using the iCloud??is there another way "without" using iCloud? If so, kindly let me know. Or do I have to use iCloud like I said.
You could also use another service e.g. Google sync if you like that better. http://www.google.com/sync/index.html

iCloud uses a minimum of 128-bit AES encryption—the same level of security employed by major financial institutions
I use different services for different things. I use iCloud for my contacts, reminders, and notes. I use Google for my calendar and email. It's really your personal preference as to what you use.
Mavericks does work with iCloud, but you are still not forced to use it. You can use any syncing service you want for your data.
