Ipad 2, iOS7, latest mac os (mavericks), os and itunes and everything totally up to date.
I delete a show from my ipad after watching it. These are shows I've bought from the itunes store. Next time I sync the shows get reloaded onto my ipad. I've tried deleting them again and agfain, both in the videos app on the ipad and in the settings>general>usage section. Same thing keeps happening. This is getting maddening.
Don't do it that way. If you want to delete an iTunes item off your iPad, plug your iPad and ask iTunes to unsync that item for the next sync. For example, you have the movie "Iron Man" synced to your iPad from your computer. To delete it, plug your iPad in. Go to the iPad window and go to the Movies tab. Uncheck "Iron Man" from the list of movies. Click sync.
I don't have an "uncheck" option. Not using the checked item sync method. I can't do anything with the items on my iPad from the iTunes interface. No option to delete them anymore like there used to be. The only way to delete things is on the iPad, and they just get replaced.
You need to tell iTunes to stop syncing hte TV shows back onto your iPad. There are at least two ways to do this.

Unless you have autosync all movies, you can delete movies off your iPad by not checking those boxes next to the titles.
Thanks, I'll have to check this out. Won't have time til tomorrow. Obviously you're using some different settings than I am, the settings I'm using used to work but don't anymore.
Thanks again, that seems to make it work. It's not 100% how I'd like it, as it's just a workaround - it seems to me the old way should still work, and that if you deleted something from the ipad it should stay deleted. However, a working solution is much better than the way it was working, so thanks!
