Jan 10, 2014 2:47 AM in response to lesssliiieeeby K Shaffer,You may have to replace the magsafe power adapter, and if the computer itself is more than a few years old, could be time to also look into the battery to see if that is weak or failing. Hard to tell that, if the MacBook won't run, except to find another identical portable that can use the battery and charger, and swap them both, so you have a known-good battery and working charger to test the computer you have. The other computer could be used to test the charger and battery of the one that doesn't work...
However, several late models of MacBook & MacBook Pro are like the MacBook Air and do not have a removable battery, and some don't have a built in optical drive, so they need special consideration when attempting to troubleshoot and repair.
You may have to see about taking the MacBook to an Apple Store where they have a product specialist or Genius on staff, and this may require setting an appointment to get a specific time to have them look into this.
Good luck & happy computing!
