Q: external drive

This article talks about preferences largely in the case of selecting files to not back up. Are there ways to add files to be backed up ? Do these files need to be on your Mac hard drive or can they also be from another external hard drive ? I use Time Machine to back up to an Air Port Time Capsule I just got.

    1. Remove them or the volume containing them from the list of items set to be excluded.

    2. Only drives formatted as Mac OS Extended (Journaled) can be backed up by Time Machine.
