Items added to reading list from gmail do not appear in iBooks

Gmail on ipad air has option to add a PDF to the reading list.

If I then open iBooks this PDF does not appear in the PDF list

I have also tried this from chrome and there is no option to add to the reading list when the icons for the PDF is held down.

In safari there is an add to reading list option but this is just to read in safari, but it appears I can get in into acrobat reader.

Just want to save it to use in iBooks.

(Ipad air and iMac owner for only a few weeks)

Hi Judy

I do not get the same options in Safari at the top right when I open up a PDF.

The boxed up arrow is on the left and when touched has an option "add to reading list" but no mention of ibooks

If I open the PDF from Chrome browser, "open in...." Briefly Appears across the browser, but again this does not appear in iBooks.

All apps are up to date.
