Q: cursor moving by itself

Hello

The cursor of my macbok pro 13 inch (2010) has started to move all by itself, sometimes causing the screen to start flipping to and from other appplications that are open. It seems to happen as the computer becomes heated after extended use. Do I take the computer into the genuis bar or straight to my local service centre. Is it something to do with the battery?
