Printing Address Book ?

I am trying to print out the address book in a booklet format which stays handy to the kitchen telephone, and I don't need to switch on the Mac, which is elsewhere.

I have succeeded a couple of years ago and the format I developed was on A5 paper with two vertical rows with 5 addresses, each in a frame, in each row.

The result is neat. I don't need 'tabs' as I keep the pages in a folder with the alphabetical tabs on separate pages purchased in a nearby stationery store.

Problem is I can't remember how I did it.... I have tried the Address Book , and also thought I may have done it on Pages but no luck. I have read that the Address Book Version 6.1.3 (1091) does not do everything it used to do ?, but that sounds very un-Apple.

Sticking point is the layout of the A5 sheet, and transferring the data, which should be elementary.

Any and all suggestions very welcome

If you'd like a tangible address book, print out a pocket-sized version of Address Book. Select the names that you want to include from the contacts list, or select a group, and choose Print from the File menu. Click Show Details, and choose Pocket Address Book from the Style pop-up menu, select any other options you want, and click Print.

Sorry for the delay, after looking at Address Book and having problems with format (which may be my own fault) I decided to take a look at Bento.

Once you find out , by trial etc, how it works, I have a good result and have been able to print in an easy to read format, for example in A4, with two columns of six addresses each. Lots of space for remarks etc.

So am quite happy with the result which I will put in a A4 folder. This is a personal list, around 120 addresses in all, so all ready for next Christmas. !

This is the most useful application I have found for Bento.... (My needs are simple)

Thank you again as although I switched, it set me in the right direction

So then.... forget Bento, I find that Filemaker dumped it. I had never used it as I found it 'woolly' and the presentation was untidy. So I have gone back to Address Book, and after finding out what was possible, or not, I have produced and printed separate address lists for Family, friends, Medical and Urgence etc.

I have added "Faces" to the family .... so am quite happy with the result

It's not something you do very often, but when it's tidied up, it's worth the effort.
