Q: Can you accidentally merge a call waiting phone call?

Wondering if I got a "beep" call waiting call and then swapped back to the original call if the calls could accidentally be merged?

iPhone 5, iOS 7.0.4

If you press the button to merge the calls instead of swapping them, yes...

It normally won't let me press merge between two calls so I'm a little confused

So have you accidentally merged calls, or what? You really need to give us some information to work with if you expect intelligent answers. We're not psychic.
