Starting just after the new year I can no longer send email from my Gmail account using my iPhone 5s. I have the newest iOS, and have already tried deleting and re-adding the gmail account. I'd really like to be able to send email from my phone...

Any particular error message?
Cannot Send mail
the connection to the outgoing server "smtp.gmail.com" failed.
Additional Outgoing Mail Servers can be configured in Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendars
sometimes (on rare occasions) I can shut down the phone and restart it and it will work.
On other (even more rare) occasions it will randomly decide that it will infact send mail...way later in the day, or sometimes the next day.
When this error pops up, are you on cellular or wifi, and if wifi, home or work?
Some corporate wifi's block access to personal email sites. That error is exactly what I get while in the office, but if I step outside and go on cellular, it works fine.
It's the work wifi... Thanks! I was hoping it wouldn't be like the "just deal with it" issue I had after the iOS 7 update on my iPhone 4.
