Q: Can a macbook pro using iOS 7 use airdrop with an iPad mini using iOS 7?

I have both, a Macbook Pro that has Maverick installed and the new iPad mini with retina display.  I'm trying to use airdrop, but I'm having difficulty with the iPad.  Both the Wifi and bluetooth are turned on for both devices.  Can someone help me?

Thanks

they fooled us all.  airdrop only works ios device to ios device.  At least for now.  You have to think that they will catch up with that at some point.   I think the difference in file handeling between ios and osx make this harder than we would have expected.

You cannot use AirDrop between a computer and an iDevice. While they are called the same they are different sharing services.

You can't use AirDrop on iOS to share with OS X users, and OS X users can't use AirDrop to share  with  iOS devices.
