I'm not able to mount my hard disk on my macbook. It gives a following eror:
NTFS-3G could not mount /dev/disk2s1
at /Volumes/Elements because the following problem occurred:
dyld: Library not loaded: /usr/local/lib/libfuse.2.dylib
Referenced from: /usr/local/bin/ntfs-3g
Reason: image not found

it seems as though your libfuse dynamic library has been deleted. Does your installed NTFS-3G support Mavericks?
Yes you are right. System requirement for NTFS-3G which I have installed is Mac OS X 10.4-10.6 and mine is 10.9.1 so I think it should have worked.

not every application that works in Mac OS X 10.4 through 10.6 will work in OS X 10.9.1. Have you been able to find confirmation from others that that Tiger through Snow Leopard version of NTFS-3G will also work in Mavericks?
If it does work in Mavericks, then you could try reïnstalling it to see if it will restore the missing dynamic library.
I uninstalled NTFE-3G and installed macfuse. I'm able to mount my hard drive and even can write in it which I failed to do before. However, it gives another error as mentioned below.

so have you been able to find confirmation that this version of NTFS-3G works properly in Mavericks? I don’t use NTFS-3G myself, so perhaps someone else who uses it will contribute to this discussion.

OK, you’ve essentially answered your own discussion point: your NTFS volume failed to mount in Mavericks because your NTFS software does not support running under Mavericks.
I got it. Thanks a lot for your help but what about the error which I'm getting now. Everything looks fine to me but that error always shows up whenever I mount my hard drive.

you’d stated yourself that NTFS-3G is not meant for Mavericks. Expecting software that wasn’t meant for Mavericks to function perfectly on Mavericks is rather optimistic, wouldn’t you say?
But I have already removed it and getting error after that is confusing me.

perhaps macfuse includes its own copy of NTFS-3G? Have you confirmed that macfuse is compatible with Mavericks?
