Jan 10, 2014 12:41 PM in response to tony_683by Ho Lee MACkeral,Do you have access to another Mac? If you do you can put the iMac on Target Disk Mode. Connect the iMac to another computer via a FireWire cable and remove those files from your iMac's Users/youraccount/Desktop.

Mar 26, 2014 5:54 PM in response to Ho Lee MACkeralby tony_683,i put it in target disk mode but nothing showed up on my laptop. i was expecting an icon to pop up but nothing. i was using a thunderbolt cable though. is that basically a firewire cable?
