Disappearing Apps?

Last time i synced/backed up, my apps were showing in itunes in the righthand column as well as the lefthand column.

Now they only show in the lefthand column?

When i look at my apps (when i plug my iphone in) the apps will briefly show in the righthand column but then they disappear??
