Hi. I am a uk iPhone 5 user and will be travelling to Spain next week. Last time I went to Spain in September I could not receive calls on my phone despite having Vodafone euro traveller. I am asking what I can do to rectify this before I travel

Is your phone locked to a carrier? If so, you will need to contact the carrier to find out what international SIM cards (if any) you can use when travelling.

Assuming you are roaming ,sounds like Vodafone had not provisioned your iPhone for use out of UK correctly ,despite selling you Euro traveller

Most unlikely to be anything to do with iphone

gail is assuming you want to use a spanish carrier sim

I assume you are just roaming ( which also has to be switched on in settings if you want to use data )

Roaming is where you use your UK carrier service outside of the carriers UK transmission area ,ie across the channel

you can receive calls and or access data .Data can be very expensive unless you have a plan with your carrier

Call Vodafone,the ability to use outside UK is only switched on by carrier ( to protect the owner in case of theft )

they appear not to have completed that for you
