Q: What does error code 2nyd/1/4:2103 indicate

IMAC G5 (OS X ver. 10.5.8) won't boot.  Extended Hardware Test yields Video RAM fail with error code 2NVD/1/4:2103.  What is this telling me?

    backup the foler "Previous System 1" to external USB HD

    Verify that your data is in "Previous System 1". 

     

    I get the feeling this contains only the system flles not your data. I'd copy everything.

     

    It's best to format the drive for hfs+ journal.  This is the native Mac format.  fat32 doesn't do files over 4gig.
