tags not stacking

I'm seeing a bug where Tags will not stack on a file on a remote mac server (10.9 as well).

If I have a file Tagged with Orange and I try and add Blue, Orange disappears. This is true no matter which way I add the tag, via right click, 'more info', or the command line.

If I copy the file to the local drive I can add as many tags as normally allowed, and they persist when I copy it back. However once I try and change a tag on that file, it goes back to the limit of one tag.

Other subdirectories in the same tree do not have this problem.

Prety funky if you ask me!
