iTunes data intact files actually missing

Looking around I have not been able to find an answer to my question.

My MacBook Pro hard drive is fine and in tact. The iTunes shows that files are missing. Why are files missing? I had a hard drive failure.

MainHD is fine.

External where all the files are died and is gone.

I am able to sync my iPhone and iPad however iTunes 11 tells me the data is missing. Well okay it is missing.

I used my old friend Senuti and retreived all my files from iPhone and iPad.

I now have the disk back with piles of missing songs that have the circle ! next to them however, the files are there.

Preferances are going to correct place.

IS there a simple way to reconnect the files to the pointers in iTunes?
