Q: If I purchase an iPad Air in Australia with cellular data capability, will I be able to use the cellular service when i'm in Canada as well.

I am going to Canada and want to buy an iPad before i go to use predominantly when i'm over there. One of the essential things that I require is mobile data and so i would be buying a cellular version of the iPad Air. However, before i buy the iPad Air in Australia i want to be sure that I will be able to use the cellular function when I am in Canada as well.

Does anyone have any advice?

If it's unlocked, then you should be able to get service in Canada. However, if it's locked to an Ozzie service, then they have to unlock it if they are willing/able to do so.
