Does anyone know how to use Apple Iphone to use scanning to send text messages

Can anyone help. My daughter has cerebral palsy and would love to be able to use a Iphone for sending text messages but she cant use the tiny buttons on the iphone.

I can see that you can turn on switch scanning but I can't work out to get the phone to scanner the text messaging functions?

Any ideas, please ?

Thanks Chris, I have been to this link but I dont understand how to get the iphone to scan every thing on the screen to get to text messaging.

It appears to only be scanning a couple of the functions - I couldnt get it to select the highlighted button when I touch the screen.
