Jan 11, 2014 7:07 AM in response to klinkiddyby the fiend,Updates to iTunes and the iPhone are not donwloaded as a file that you then have to muck about with. The upodate should have downloaded and been applied, seemlessly if you clicked on an update option on the phone or in iTunes. There should be nothing for you to locate.
You can check the phone in Settings/About to see what iOS version it is running, and also check iTunes for the same thing. In iTunes, press the ALT key, followed by the H andf then the C keys (that's Help/Check for Updates).

Jan 11, 2014 7:16 AM in response to klinkiddyby turingtest2,The downloaded file is probably stored at C:\Users\<User>\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\iTunes\iPhone Software Updates. In general it is probably best to "download and install" updates than download and then install later. Note that you cannot revert to the older firmware if you don't like the update, even if you have the old .ipsw files.
