Once you connect the printer to the USB port on the AIrPort Express and power up the printer......
Please take us through the steps that you are performing to set up the printer.
What happens after each step?
We don't know what operating system you are using on your Mac or PC, so that info would really help as well.
I first went to my email to print something and the HP 2600n was not listed. Only a different HP Photosmart D110 that I have.
Then I went into the "Airport Utility" App, hit the "Edit" at the top and tried "Add WPS Printer", check th e"On First Attempt" but it just spins. Backed out and tried the "With PIN" option but was unclear in what to do.
Trying to set up with my iPad intially. Then will need to figure out how to connect Sony Viao wth Windows 7 Professional, later.

This would be used for adding a wireless printer. Not USB.
Please clarify again how the printer will be connected to the AirPort Express.
If you want to set up the printer to connect using USB, you will need a Mac. Not possible to set this up with an iPad if you want to try USB. And....even if the setup works, you will not be able to print from the iPad unless you have a Mac on the network with additional software like Printopia installed.
It might be possible to setup using a PC with additional Bonjour for Windows software, but I do not think that you will be able to print from the iPad if that is your goal.
Okay,
I just got off the phone with the 1-800MyApple and they say it is not possible. I guess I return the Airport Express to the store for a refund or buy an air compatable laserject printer. The Apple Represenmtative mislead me.
To clarify.....the Apple Representative at the Best Buy store.
