Can't get changes on new iMovie on to the older version?

So I downloaded the new version of iMovie (10.0) in the middle of a project, and immediately I found problems, but continued despite the frustration.

When I found out the older version (9.0.9) was still in the applications folder, I tried to continue my project there, but none of the changes that I had made on the newer version had been transferred back. Copy and Paste didn't work.. how do I transfer all the changes? I need to finish this quite soon so I am quite desperate - please help asap!

The only thing you could do would be to export your project from iMovie 10 and import it into iMovie 9. I am not aware of any way to transfer unsaved projects or changes to projects back from imovie 10 to iMovie 9. I think you should persevere with iMovie 10.
