This is my first time using this discussion site! Any help would be great, as I am getting very frustrated with pages!
What I am trying to do is link text at the bottom of a document to a page at the beginning of the document. I can't find a bookmark option adn when I clink insert link it only provides an options to link to a web page. Help! thanks

Hi Fran,
Pages 6.2
Select some text at the top of the document and Menu > Insert > Bookmark.
Select some text in the Footer (you can't insert a link from nothing) and Menu > Format > Add Link > Bookmark.

Shocking. It will now take me ages having to scroll back to the contents page over and over again from the rest of the document whereas I could have clicked a bookmark in the footer so much more easily.
Why, why, why, Apple? Is there anyone who is going to find this omission helpful? It's ages since all these options were removed and I would have thought the functionality might have been largely restored by now. But no, all we're left with is memories of how good our Apple apps used to be.
The school where I teach used to be an all Mac school and gradually we seem to be going for Google and Microsoft options these days as they are regarded as 'more professional'. It's so sad. I hate Word! It's so ugly!
command up arrow takes you to the beginning of the document. This is standard everywhere in MacOS.

All of these are in the Help menu, available in every App.
Why do Teachers so often in my experience struggle with learning?

i dont think you can link to locations within the same document in iOS pages.
Bookmarks are missing (sadly) and with them, the ability to create an in document link.
I was looking for this feature in a Table of Contents. When you assign a 'style' to text in a document, you can Insert > Table of Contents. Then Pages will keep the TOC updated and you'll be able to 'link' from the page number in the TOC. (Not much help though, for the OP)
One of over 100 features removed from Pages 5.
Use Pages '09 if you have it in your Applications/iWork folder.
