Q: can you use an Istore gift card to buy gems for clash of clans?

I want ot send a mate an Istore gift card so he can buy some gems for a game he is playing. Is this possible and if so how do I do so?

As long as the person is in the same country as yourself then you should be able to send them a gift, which he should be able to use buy IAPs : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2736
