I'm trying to re-install Leopard but it won't let me do it.

When I startup the I-mac i get the question mark flashing for a few minutes then it finally loads. When I insert the Leoprd cd to re-install it keeps ejecting. Can I boot from the disk? Thanks for the help, Wes

i-mac g5 i-sight, Mac OS X (10.4.9)

The startup manager will list all of your bootable partitions and discs then give you a choice of which to boot. Hold down the option key then power on. This brings up the startup manager. Click on your hd or disc. Click on right arrow key.

The mac will eject the disc when the disc isn't bootable on your machine. A grey disc will not work. You need the full update disc.
