imac 27" display gets dark

Hi, I have an mid 2011 iMac 27" and since a few weeks the display keeps falling out: it suddenly gets black. i still can work on my external monitor, and I can wake up the primary display using active corners, but only for a few minutes. help needed!

iMac (27-inch Mid 2011), OS X Mavericks (10.9.1)

Take it in for service. Chances are good that the display will need to be replaced - very expensive.
