Purchsed songs on Iphone but not in playlsit but on playlsit on laptop

I keep getting the same problem in purchasing songs via my iphone5 and they are not appering on any playlist and not in the downloaded section, but they appear on my laptop playlist- I am also using icloud but it keeps happening and will only sync when using cable
