Q: Visual voicemail just dials voicemail and will not display

Hey, I have tried all the above things and been to the apple store and my iphone5 still won't show my visual voicemail.  It just dials voicemail automatically.  Will there be a fix for this in an update? I don't know what else to try.  I think it may be from when I had an iPhone4 and updated to ios7 and it crashed during the update.  It started doing it then and when I restored to the 5 the issue carried over.  Could it be a corrupt backup? And if so, is there away to start clean and get my backup restored somehow?

iPhone 5, iOS 7.0.4

What were you told at the Apple Store?

Try restoring your iPhone as a new iPhone or not from the backup.

If the problem is resolved, the problem lies with the backup that was transferred. Transferring a backup is all or none.

We determined it must be the back up because we tried everything and he out his SIM card in my phone and his worked. Anyway to not loose backup? Don't want to enter 500 numbers into my phone and reorganize tunes.

Where did the 500 contacts originate? All manually entered on the iPhone?

Although contacts are included with the iPhone's backup, contacts are designed to be synced with a supported address book app on your computer and/or there are a number of free email accounts that support syncing contacts and other data over the air such as with an Apple iCloud account, Gmail, Yahoo, and Hotmail.

Not a good idea to depend on an iPhone or any cell phone alone for your contacts which can be lost or stolen or damaged beyond repair.

Restoring from the backup is all or none, and why would you need to reorganize iTunes? iTunes content in your iTunes library on your computer should already be organized.
