I have had no trouble adding other media to my keynote presentation but the media folder in keynote does not see my movies. It refers me to iMovie where I also do not see a way to share my movie to keynote. Please help if you can and, naturally, time is of the essence.

There are many features in earlier versions of Keynote that are not available in the current version, the media browsers inability to list media is one of them.
We await Apples completion of the promised 6 month update schedule to fix these anomalies.
So is there any way to put a movie clip into keynote 6 now? Because it came on my new computer I don't have any other program

Well, you will have Pages, Keynote, Numbers, Aperture, iMovie, iPhoto and GarageBand, which are all supplied free with a new Mac.
