Could Apple help me access the photos i lost?

My iPhone 5 broke and won't turn on again. When I plug it in the logo just flashes. I had to order a new phone. However, I was an idiot and did not have my Photo Stream on, so none of my photos are in the iCloud. If I went to an Apple store, could they access my photos? or should I not even bother with it? please help!

iPhone 5, iOS 7.0.4

No iTunes or iCloud backup means the photos were only on the camera that is no longer working. There's nothing they can do, sorry. I guess conceivably one could retrieve them from the memory chip but I have never heard of any service (apple or otherwise) offering that since in newer compact devices the drawback is everything is soldered together.

Admitting there is a problem is the first step in solving it. 😉

Seriously though, PhotoStream is not designed as a backup. With your new device, either enable iCloud backup, regularly sync the device to the computer to backup, or (better yet) regularly copy the pictures off the device as would be done with any digital camera (this is the way the device is designed to be used).

PhotoStream only holds a max of 1000 pictures and only the last 30 days of pictures.

Idea!

I haven't done this with an iPhone 5 but we have a computer that is too old to sync with our iPhone 4S. However, if I plug in the 4S and start Image Capture we can download photos because it treats the phone as a simple camera. I wonder if your phone's circuitry is working to the extent that although it won't turn on fully it can still be used in a camera mode.
