Does my Mac use USB 2.0 or USB 3.0?

Question

I use a Mid 2012 Mac Pro 3.33GHz XEON 6 CORE 6 RAM. Will a USB 3.0 flash drive or a USB 2.0 flash drive work in my Mac Pro?

Both drives will work with it. USB 3.0 devices work in USB 2.0 ports at the slower speed.

Supplementing Niel's response, the ports on that machine are in fact USB 2.0 ports.
