Some thoughts:
1) There is a Mac version of COD 2--I have in on my i7 iMac. No need to install Bootcamp just to run COD. I bought COD2 through the App Store. US$20
2) Notebook computers run hot--no room for open air paths and big cooling fans---hotter than an equivalent desktop. Therefore not the best choice for gfx-intensive gaming. In Bootcamp--at least for me--Win7/64 runs hotter than Mac OSX by itself. Add a game and you could see therrnal safety shutdowns.
3) Your specs sound like you have a 13-inch MacBook Pro. It has only one fan and it is small.
I recommend finding the COD2 for Mac demo FIRST. Here are some sources:
http://search.yahoo.com/search?ei=utf-8&fr=aaplw&p=cal+of+duty+2+Mac+demo
However, DO NOT download from CNET or Softonic. They are packaging cr@pware with their downloads that will trash your browser. ( http://www.thesafemac.com/continue-to-boycott-softonic/)
See how the Mac demo runs under OSX. That what I did before buying the full version, It is quite a nice game.
