iPhone 5 - difficult to press power button

Hi,

Recently i was in a Apple reseller store and i wanted to buy a leather iPhone 5/5s cover from Apple.
So in the store the the employee asked me if he could put it on my iPhone for me, after the cover was equiped it was very hard to press the Power/Sleep button.

He tested the same cover with his own iPhone and had no problems.

Situation: I can use the button without cover but it is not very easy to press, with cover its too hard.

Now is my question can i bring in my iPhone for warranty to replace the button before it breaks down completely and my warranty has expired?

Thanks in advance!

iPhone 5, iOS 7.0.4, Power/Sleep button

As I already said, if there is no problem without the case or cover as you provided, more than likely there is no problem with the iPhone. And if there is no problem without the case or cover, please inform the rest of us how the case or cover is not a contributing factor?

No one here can answer for certain if Apple will exchange your iPhone under warranty for a problem that is not a problem without the case, but being a little harder to use the power button with the case is not likely a cause to exchange the iPhone under warranty. And this employee you spoke with doesn't make this determination either. Every warranty claim is on a case by case basis. The only way to find out for certain is by making an appointment at an Apple store if there is one nearby.
