Athough I have location services turned on, Siri and other programs cannot find my current location. Why? How can I rectify this?

Yes, I'm connected wirelessly to my home wifi network.
Do you have a Wi-Fi only iPad? If so those iPads do not have a GPS chip in them. Location on Wi-Fi only iPads is determined by using the location of the Wi-Fi network. But if the Wi-Fi network is not in .apples database the iPad will not be able to determine location. Also if the Wi-Fi router is in the network but was moved at some time the location reported might be incorrect until the database is updated.
My best suggestion is to try the resetting the location & privacy settings and then try.

Your answer informed me that Siri can't locate me because I don't have a GPS chip in my iPad. So how do I get my Wi-Fi network in the .apples database, or do I even want to do that?
