Q: 2 x External Monitors (1 x Virtual, stretched) – Center Problem

Hello,

i am wondering if there's any solution for my problem:

I am using 2 x External Monitors (1 x Virtual, stretched via Matrox TripleHead2Go DP Edition) on a MacBook Pro 5,3 (mid2009) as a dual monitor setup with an apple bluetooth keyboard and a magic trackpad in front of. The via DisplayPort attached Laptop is placed 90° on the side as a reference monitor for what I use it for (Monitoring the Master Analyzers for Logic Pro).

Anyways, the problem that I do have, is that all new windows that I do open or Application startup Images, all Warning Dialogues etc. are appearing in the exact middle of this dual screen setup -- and that means, that I do have to pick those windows up and move them sideways to see them, since they get everytime halfed by the monitors borders …

Is there any app, configuration or hack to set an offset to the so called "Reference Middle for OS X"?

Has anyone ever had this problem before?

Has apple ever tought about this?

I once had a three Monitor Setup once before, but since I am limited now to a specific space in width and have to use these two monitors I am stuck with that issue …

3 Monitors:   ⬜︎⬛︎⬜︎ = "System Reference Middle" is in the middle of the middle monitor, all is fine ✔︎

2 Monitors:    ⬜︎|⬜︎ = "System Reference Middle" is in in between the two monitors

Thanks for any help in advance!
